When you sign in for the first time, you will need to set your notifications, emails and upload an image for your avatar. These items can all be updated through the dashboard page.
To edit your notifications, navigate to the dashboard button and click on the notifications tab. You can then choose how you would like to be notified about activities such as when someone has replied to a thread you created on the forum.
Editing your identity
Screen name - Your screen name should be a single word (up to 10 characters) that does not reveal or hint at your real identity.
To update your screen name, go to the dashboard button and select my identities. You can then type in your chosen screen name.
Avatar - A shape, cartoon or any image that is not a direct representation of you.
To add an avatar to your profile, simply go to the dashboard page and click on the my identities tab.
You must click the update screen name identity button below to complete uploading an avatar or updating your screen name.
Posting a comment
Visit the online community page and click on the thread/topic which you would like to comment on. Once you are on the page for the thread, select reply to thread and type your reply. You will also have the option to post the comment as your screen name, real name or anonymously.
Make sure you post your comment on the most relevant thread to ensure that Vista’s online community can find your post and respond to it.
Starting a new discussion
Go to the online community page to start a discussion. Click on the relevant chat room and then select post a new thread to start a topic of your choice. You will also have the option to choose whether you display your real name, screen name, or post it anonymously. Please note that doing this will hide your identity from other members. If you post derogatory messages or anything that might be considered to put yourself or others at risk the hub admin reserves the right to identify you.
Changing your password
To change your password, go to the digital hub sign in page and click log into the hub. From here, you should select reset my password, enter the email address you have registered with and then press reset password. You will receive an email with a link which will allow you to change your password. You should also use this function if you have forgotten your password.

Types of user on the hub
Member – Once you have registered you can post replies to existing messages and start new messages threads.
Editor – Editors can upload new articles and resources. If you feel you would be a regular contributor you can request to be an editor, alternatively you can send your item to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can upload it for you.
Members should not display their personal real world information such as email or phone number in the message boards.
